StackSmith

An early-stage Go project for turning small infrastructure specs into safer, reusable Terraform workflows.

Problem

Teams need a way to give developers useful infrastructure without making every person hand-build and secure the same Terraform resources.

Architecture

The current foundation is a reusable S3 Terraform module and an example root configuration. The planned Go core will parse a developer spec and platform standards, validate them, and eventually generate Terraform using the approved module. Parsing, validation, the CLI, and generation are not complete yet.

What I Built

A Terraform S3 module with public access blocked, encryption and versioning enabled, and automatic emptying disabled on destroy.
An example Terraform root that calls the module.
Initial Go types and parsing/validation API signatures; the implementations are still in progress.

Outcome

The S3 Terraform foundation is in place. StackSmith is still early-stage; it does not yet generate Terraform or provide a working CLI.
