Internal Operations Platform at AT&T

An internal application that brought a manual process onto one platform and automated much of the work.

Problem

The team was working through a large, manual process spread across separate workflows. I led development of an internal application to bring that work together and reduce repeated manual effort.

Architecture

The application brought the process onto one full-stack platform, spanning onboarding, scanning, validation, remediation, and reporting. Workflow automation covered assignment, escalation, validation, and notifications. I also worked on production ownership and the platform’s infrastructure and recovery practices.

What I Built

Led development of the internal application and brought the existing workflow into one platform.
Automated assignment, escalation, validation, and notification flows.
Worked on scan processing, production support, and platform reliability.
Helped add SonarQube and Fallow as CI quality gates for maintainability and security findings.

Outcome

The broader effort reduced the team from the 50s to the mid-20s while maintaining the same efficiency. Annual operating cost moved from $8.3M to $3.5M, and scanning/remediation throughput increased 2.22×.
